My father-in-law has a rifled barrel and a smooth for his 835. I am in Kentucky so I don't use a slug gun. He lives in Indiana.

Akers06 - I own a Winchester 1200 & 2 Mossy 835s, one w/ camo & 24" ported barrel for Toms, the other 1st year wood & blued w/ a cantilever mount barrel w/ scope for deer. Save your money, if you can get a cantilever barrel for adding a scope to your 1300. The 835s are nice, but I can't think of a single time when I actually needed 3 1/2"s rather than 3".

I already have a rifled barrel it's not cantilever but the gun is drilled and tapped for a scope and it will flat smoke shooting a slug.....and it smokes with a turkey load also....so.you would recommend just keeping my 1300 and maybe improve on it a little bit
