Default Winchester 1300 Defender

Thoughts about this shotgun. I love it. Large capacity, tons of mods, super smooth action. To bad it got discontinued. I don't know if it will ever be brought back into production with all the troubles Winchester is having. I think it is a excellent home defense weapon in 12 gauge. Tell me what do you think.

If it wasn't a nice, capable gun I wouldn't own one......but I do.

I've heard good things about it. But I have other shotguns on my "must have" list.

The Defenders in 1200 and 1300 were excellent shotguns. My agency had over 200 in inventory. We shot the heck out of them for nearly 20 years and phased them out. When we surplus them out, I plan on buying 2 or 3.

The only shortcoming is the lack of adjustable sights.

I love mine. Purchased new in 1994, I still have the box it came in.

A Model 1300 Stainless Marine Defender. Very tight action compared to a Mossberg. If I remember correctly it cost about twice as much as a comparable Mossberg back then.

Worth every penny...

A 1300 is my "go to " gun. I keep my stoked with buck and ready for a zombie invasion. I have other shotguns, but this is the one that I trust most.
