Default Win.mod. 1897 12ga.

Winchester Mod 97 12 ga. full choke
serial # 876531 with a capital E above the numbers
the bore is in good condition, no pitting or rust.
I'd like an estimate of general condition and any value it might have..
and thanks for any help

Too bad about your cat.

As said, the recoil pad cuts the collectors value. Agree, around $450.

anywhere from $300-$1,000 is what I've seen around my area. In your condition I agree with the others... $450ish.

BUT....If I were you...I would NEVER sell that shotgun.

First successful pump shotgun ever designed...and by the genius himself John Browning.

There's alot of history in those weapons.

Default re: barrel pix of model 97 Win.

The pix I showed are all I have.. it is not a riot or trench gun... full choke and didn't know enough to measure barrel...
Is it possible to replace the butt plate, providing the stock wasn't trimmed off????

I had a 1950's Model 12 that I sold last year that had the stock cut back and a recoil pad installed. After measuring the stock and comparing to an unaltered M12 the offer went down $75. I took it 'cause I wanted to buy different shotgun.
