Default Where would I get more info on two older shotguns?

Hello everyone. My dad has two shotguns in his possession one was his as a teenager and the other belonged to his father. How do I find out more about them? Here is what my dad told me about them over the phone:

.410 Savage
single barrel 3inch chamber
model number is 220B or 2208
the gun has a 29K on it

12 Gauge
J. Stevens
side by side
patient March 19,1907
when you tilt barrels forward you see the number 63546
model number 335

How do I go about finding more info about these guns? Thank you for the help.

Google a serial number search site. Once you know a bit more about them you can hit a gun auction site to see what they are selling for.
I don't need No stinking signature.

Look here.............
It can be fairly hard to get an accurate manufacture date on Savage/Stevens guns. The address stamped on the gun narrows it down some. The site above is your best place to investigate these guns.
Just walking on the edge of of my grave.

The Savage Model 220 B was introduced in 1959 and made until 1965. The 220 B differed from the earlier Model 220 in that the 220 B had a rotating hammer versus the coil spring driven striker of the Model 220. Some of the early 220 B marked receivers actually have the coil spring striker. The Model 220 B was made in 12, 16, and 20 gauges and .410 bore with 26-32" barrels and various chokes.

The J Stevens Model 335 was an entry level gun that was introduced in the 1909-10 time frame and continued in production until 1929. It was offered in 12 and 16 gauges with 26-32" barrels. Your specimen was made in the 1920-1929 time frame based on the J. Stevens Arms Company name which was adopted when Savage Arms Corporation purchased the J. Stevens Arms and Tool Company in 1920. Based on the serial number, I would guess that it was produced in the latter years of the production.

No records are available to give an exact year of manufacture.
