Like anything else personal choice is a big factor. With experience you will develope that choice. Sure the Rem 870 will deliver shot out the end of the barrell, but for just a little more $$$ you can have a quality pump in the Browning BPS in almost any configuration you choose. Go to a gun shop and handle the various styles and types of shotguns.
