Default What is the difference between 12ga 2&3/4 shells versus 3"?

My gun can hold and fire both. Can both size shells be loaded together?

Default Shell cap........

I have a Bennelli that only holds 3 rounds of 3.5 and thats one in the chamber. I figure thats all I need... Each round contains 18 pellets, So how many can I kill in one shot. I use full choke for maximum take down power...... I'm sure I could modify and take another 5 rounds, But I don't see the need as of now.......3.5 00 buck magnum.....For home Defence.......

Loading 2 -3/4 and 3" shells together can be done, in

some pumps. I wouldn't do it.

You can load more 2-3/4 shells, generally, if it's a tube mag.

If you don't need the power of 3" shells, 2-3/4s are

cheaper, and easier on the shoulder.

LOL. I knew that was coming as soon as I pressed the send button! Anyway, thanks for the advice. Have a whole bunch of different loads to check out tonight. Ultimately my choice will be based on which combination of size and shot gives me the most accurate short range hit. Then we'll see how the slugs do.
