FWIW- unless you shoot at aerial targets a LOT with a .410, prepare to become a humble man!
I inherited a Remington 1100 Light field in .410. LOVELY little shotgun. I consider self to be a fair wing shot- grew up popping quail, doves, and the occasional lost pheasant- with 12 16, and 20 guage guns.
Friends invited me to go shoot a few rounds of Sporting Clays with them. In memory of Dad, brought the .410. 50 shells later, having broken 20 of the clays........
The .410 is truly an EXPERT'S shotgun- the shot string is just REALLY small.
But good luck, and enjoy the day's shooting.
