[ATTACH]39866[/ATTACH I came across a very old 12 gauge double barrel shotgun, It says it was made by Lyanssen & Sons Co. It has printed between the upper part of the barrels, "Belgium Steel". Taking it apart, I found a #5678 and a bunch of designs and scattered emblems. I can't seem to find any info on it anywhere. Date of manufacture, age, and who made it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

POSSIBLE- not certain- that you have a Jannsen et fils shotgun. They were located in Belgium, and made nice backlock shotguns.

The little marks and ciphers are what tells the tale. We need good photos, lotta pixels, IN FOCUS, well lighted.

BTW, if one of the marks looks like THIS: it was made in Belgium. That is the proofmark from the Leige proofhouse.
