We'll I started hunting with a bow because the only place I had open to me wouldn't let me use a shotgun. But I got the go ahead from some family friends to use there property so I'm using a stoeger p350 wtih supplied chock and remington nitro turkey I found in the scattered in the ammo cabinet.
I just picked up a Strut derringer (three read mouth call) for this spring turkey which for us starts april 13 4 days after my bday

Hunted the past 15 years with my winchester 1300. Shot many birds with it. Last year bought my Benelli super nova before season opened and it proved itself when I took a nice Tom on the second morning. Wish our season opened sooner, still have four more weeks! Good luck!

Talk turkey.......
Google don the out doors guy, send him an e=mail and request his free turkey target. You get the life size target, then you can run this thru a copier and run your own. The targets are the same ones he uses to pattern his shot guns, and with different loads.......Give it a try............ Good luck to all.... Al. has a pop. of an estimated half a million birds, they harvest allmost the pop. of turkeys in La.......We have about 60 thousand birds.....

Mossberg 500 12 ga, 3" chamber, 20" barrel, fiber optic sights. I've since polished the barrel, installed a Star Dot choke and moved the sling swivel to the bottom of the barrel lug so I can mount a small box call on the barrel.
It's light, handy and powerful. Nice soft recoil pad too.
