An 870 barrel will not fit a pardner pump, i tried it with my fil's wingmaster. The distance between end cap and chamber is different.

I just tried it with my express magnum and the same thing, barrel wont fit. However other 870 accesories will fit, my pardner currently has a the ati top folder stock on it, it uses the 870 adapter that comes with it.

That is the question isn't it. I would rather spend an extra 5-10% at any local shop then be seen there. Especially in the sporting goods section.

Don't knock the maverick too hard guys. My mother and father bought me one 20 years ago and it still works as well as it did when new. Almost every part from a mossberg 500 will swap right onto it (triger group is the only one that won't), I found it to be a natural pointer, and a joy to shoot. I wasn't a fan of the safety being in the front part of the triger guard, but it can be lived with. I enjoyed that old model 88 so much that I gave it the best compliment I could. It is now my 16 year old nephew's deer gun, and if he gets his first deer with it I'll be as proud as my dad was when I got mine with that same shotgun. I only hope he gets another 20 years of enjoyment out of it.
