Oh boy,
you have my most sincere sympathies.
Years ago I shot A LOT of trap & skeet.
My usual gun was the 1100 trap gun.
Also shot a Model 12, an 870 and once a model 21,
and a lot of other guns.
So many ways to spend money.
Every one has advice on the best gun.
My range had rental guns so you could try the different types.
Overall I preferred the 1100 trap gun.

am i the only one who noticed in post 1 that the gun the OP pictured is a skeet/field grade gun?

No, I noticed. Figured the 'I'm looking for a cheap O/U to shoot a few rounds of trap a year' was the reason. A few rounds doesn't require a purpose built trap gun.

I will say I am growing tired of 'what's the cheapest gun I can buy' requests though. Every post is like that. Just once I want to see a 'I bought a Boss' or 'I bought a Holland & Holland' or I bought a 'Asprey' post.

and too...we dont know if his idea of trap and what we know 'to be' trap are the same.
