Years ago I bought a Marlin 512 Slumaster - it has a rifled barrel and 2rd. detacheable box magazine. With a 4 x 20 scope shooting 2 3/4 Remington Copper Solid Slugs it produces 2" groups at 100 yds.. The Copper Solid Slug breaks into 3 pieces on impact, and being made from solid copper, they retain ALL of their weight. A friend dropped a Boar at 60 yds. with one shot to the shoulder. I haven't hunted with mine yet because I shot 3" slugs out of it once and I wouldn't want to do it again - with 2 3/4" slugs the recoil is manageable, but not a pleasant gun to shoot!
