yeah, i understand. i was kind of hoping you might rebarrel it. but alls well that ends well! nice looking shotgun and as long as you're happy with the trade, that's all that matters.

I have a STOEGER m3500....I love it!!! The inertia system isn't the exact same as the benellis, the bolt is the same but the spring system on the benelli is in the stock and the springs on the STOEGER are around the mag tube almost like a pump gun...the stoegers system is super simple that's why I love em

I've had the same result with low brass game loads in my 2000. I'm hoping that with more use it will wear in enough to like them better. I don't keep it loaded with that kind of ammo anyway, but for training it is much cheaper than buck or slugs.

I found out today that it may be more of a load weight issue. Today i shot winchester super x game and target loads through it with zero hiccups, and it has short brass. The short brass shells that i shot through it yesterday may have been light loads. They were some of what i had laying around.

Benelli says not to shoot anything light than 1 1/8 oz shot in them

Yep, i did read that. The shells that i shot today were 1oz, and it did really good, even with fast firing

MrWray, i'm glad you are enjoying it! i agree that the lighter shot loads could be a problem in regards to the recoil of them. if you find a particular shell that doesn't seem to work as well, just use them in another shotgun. that's what works for me.

Thanks axx, its doing really good. The malfunctions were just ammo issue and is an easy fix
