I just got back from my LGS, i just traded in my Model 70 7mmwsm. I loved my M70 but the 7wsm ammo isnt as available as it used to be and the price has gone up quite a bit, i couldnt really justify keeping it when it just sits in my gun cabinet. I traded my rifle straight across for the brand new Stoeger shotgun. Its chambered for 2 3/4 and 3" shells, just got back in from shooting it and so far it shoots awesome. The bolt feels like its riding on ball bearings and the recoil is really smooth. I dont know much about the Stoeger shotguns yet "will read up on them" but im happy with my trade.

I just read that stoeger is made by Benelli and it uses the exact same inertia driven action, and you can also add the mercury filled recoil reducer in the stock "which i will also add later".

Thanks fellas, im real big on fit and finish and first impressions with firearms and so far im really impressed with it. Im happy with my trade, i dont like getting rid of my guns but i think its what was best. I will get 200% more use out of the shotgun than i ever did the rifle.

That's right, matter of fact the first thought I had was that it looked like a Benelli. I have a little Stoeger coach gun, and it's a well made little shotgun.
