We've got one. I don't think we've really used it much yet though. What do you want to know? Maybe I can help.

My father purchased it as the end all and be all shotgun. It's something you can do anything with. 3.5" chamber, recoil buffers, a good balance and feel, chrome barrel. Comes with I think 5 different chokes. If not, it's 3. I've never fired it, but it seems like an excellent shotgun, especially for the money assuming it cycles everything reliably. I've seen similar shotguns go for $1000 easy, so it's really a great value. It definitely feels like a quality piece.

I wanted to update.

We got our 3500 out shooting. Not 100% impressed. The feeding mechanism is a bit finicky, the mag tube doesn't really catch the shell soon enough when loading, so you'll often find the shell on your elevator instead of in the mag. When you do remember to push your thumb all the way into the tube, your thumb gets caught up on the elevator and you get a little pinch. Further, at one point, I had 1 in the mag and 1 in the pipe. Upon pulling the trigger, both shells discharged in the manner of a fully auto weapon. Reloaded two shells. Next trigger pull brought about the same result. This did teach us that the cyclic rate is incredibly fast. I only felt one recoil impulse and could only barely tell from the sound that both had gone off. Taking the action down and putting it back together stopped this for the time being. Also, our 7.5 shot didn't cycle reliably. The gun would go off, and then the next pull you get a 'click', with the next shell sitting on the elevator instead of in the chamber.

However, it does point very well, and the spread is VERY even. The recoil is pretty mild. We shot quite a bit pretty quickly with no soreness. I can't say the same is true of my 870. Shooting the same loads, 50 shells with the 870 and I was ready to pack it in. The 3500 is an impressive shotgun when it works. Hopefully just a break in period... If not, I'm sure Benelli will sort us out no problem.

Good luck. Benelli and Beretta are known for their customer service. Not good customer service, just known for it. I think these guns have a break in period. I hope that's it.

You might have just got a bad one I've put about 300 rounds through mine so far and I haven't had the first bad thing go wrong....I've shot everything from 3 1/2in turkey shells to the light 1oz Target loads
