Default Stevens model 79 in 410

I found one of these at a rather interesting price, $150. It's in good shape and I've had an inch for a repeating 410 for a while. I can't afford the high dollar semis and I learned to shoot with a pump gun. Anyone know if these are good guns? Whats the going value of these things? Thanks for the help guys.

Hi Spitinfire .................... OldYeager here

I just joined the FireArmsTalk forum today. I have enjoyed looking thru all the good info thats posted here. Saw your 410 question. No, I don't know anything about Stevens 410. But I am a fan of that little shell and the guns that fire it. So, I thought I'd just say hi to another 410er. I've got to find or see if this forum even has a following or topic area for this type shotgun.

Good luck in your search.

Thanks for the reply. I do like 410s, they are blast to shoot. Unfortunately I had to let this one go. Auction ran too high....I can get a new Mossberg for about $25 more then what it went for. I'm still looking for a repeating 410 though and most likely it will be a pump.

Stop by the introduction area and let everyone know you're here.

I've looked into them a little bit but I just don't want to wrap that much money up in a 410 just yet. I'm playing with them at this point. If I get serious with them I wouldn't mind spending that much but not just yet.
