Default stevens model 311 with tenite stocks

I picked up an old Stevens Model 311 with tenite stocks from the 1940's. Replaced the Tenite stocks with a set of Boyd's. It's a 12ga both barrels full choke. I gave $325 otd.

You got a deal. I killed a many a duck with one like it over 50 years ago.
Edit - I think the tenite stocks came along in the 60s.

Very nice. I inherited my granddad's Stevens years ago. Love it.

Which Boyd's stock did you go with? The Type 1 or 2?

That's a nice shotgun for a nice price but the 311 didn't come about until 1949. There's a date code on the bottom of the receiver between the trigger guard and hinge. It will be a number and a letter in an oval. The letter is the code. It will look something like this.
