Default slugs thru barrel with rib?

i have a pardner pump 28" barrel with rib, is it ok to shoot slugs thru the rib barrel? thanks

Should not be a problem so long as you are not using a turkey hunter's extra full choke.

Use foster type rifled slugs, these are made to be fired from a smoothbore barrel, firing these with a vent rib is not an issue what so ever. I use a modified choke, with slugs in my smoothbore barrels.

Sabot slugs are meant for rifled barrels. Rifled slugs for smoothbore.
