Default slugs out of a youth gun

Are slugs safe to shot out of a Remington youth 870 express? By safe I mean able to shoot it without the gun flying out of your hands because of the recoil you get from slugs.

Thanks guys. I bought some Winchester lead fosters a few years ago because I couldn't find any shells for my rifle. I plan to shoot a few off this summer and maybe deer hunt with them.

Never had a problem doing so myself ( youth 870 and youth M500). Just remember to use a modified or IC choke to lessen the amount of deformation to the slugs. This will improve accuracy most of the time.

how are we supposed to know what distance you can shoot at???

take it 2 the range with a bunch of ammo and find out. if your shots arent in a reasonable 6 in area you're to far.

90% of slug gun can at least shoot accurately out to 75-100 yards with a good setup

I meant how far can I shoot with that rig and still have enough speed and energy to cleanly kill a deer.?
