Sorry but I don't know anything else about it, I just found it one day, so now it's mine.
Thanks for helping me.

I used to shoot Skeet on a private range that opened to the public once a week. It was a little expensive and.had to drive to far to get to it so eventually I had quit going. I used to keep up with a group of guys that all shot o/U using my mossberg pump. It was a good time.

Thanks Bobski, the men in the club don't won't us shooting with them because we are still learning, so they tell us the wrong answers to our questions just to get rid of us, then try to intimidate us by beating on their chest and acting like apes.
We bought our own machine for $8000.00 and have it in a arena on 250 acres with a club house that has a kitchen and 3 baths that sleeps 8 people.
We have already beat the men in a pistol match at there own club and that just burned them up. If we can find an instructor to teach us, then we want to beat them in skeet too, then suggest they take up sewing and having babies.

Good for you ! Skeet takes time - great training aides on Remington's web site. Trap as well.

Spring is supposed to be here. Great time to take up the sport.

Equipment: Gas Gun is easier on the shoulder to learn with.

Should be about a 1981 model, so any barrel will fit. The barrel codes are on the left side in front of the receiver, if it is the original barrel. The choke marking is right in the same area. Another alternative would be to have Mike Orlen fit choke tubes. He and Briley are the only ones I will personally vouch for, and Mike is a lot less expensive, and probably cheaper than a new barrel. Quick turnaround too.
I shoot at a few really up there clubs occasionally, and there will sometimes be a few snooty types. Whenever they make a condescending comment I usually say flat out I don't like O/Us, which is 100% true. At the end of a round if I did okay I will usually say what I shot and something like "not too awful bad" or some such, not in a boasting manner. 99% of the time one of them will say haughtily "You aren't supposed to keep score while you shoot." I always say "Oh it's no effort or distraction if you just keep up with the misses." I am tempted to get a pair of those glasses with a camera to record the look on their faces. I don't shoot nearly as much as I used to so I usually don't say anything these days. There is another guy who shoots a Browning semi auto 20, I think it's a Silver, and he usually wipes everyone out. He is GOOD. Someone said something to him once about he might do better with such and such, and he said "I don't mean to be rude, but I only take advice from people who shoot better than I do." I about choked trying not to laugh and there were several red faces.

* the years 1943 though 1953 had double letters: ie, MM = 1943

As maybe seen, the year code letters duplicate; some knowledge of when the model was introduced should resolve the actual year of manufacture.

With that serial number the barrel is not original, if you are reading it right. Barrels usually have three digits and it is not including the last one, which is a production code.
