To me, the most proven semi-auto in the skeet game is the 1100. She'd do just fine with one of those.

Rem 32's, 3200 - were the parents of the venerable Kreigoffs (sp) which is a $10K gun. Those who have them, love them and hold their value dearly.

Are the Remingtons as well made as the Krieg's ? You would more about that than I would - you've shot them both. When an item is no longer made, owner's can charge whatever the market will bear.

Example: I'm hoping I can get $550 for my Hight Std Victor. Like your 3200, it has great track record and fan base. Thanks to you, I now know it has more value, being a Hamden CT model, than I had previously realized.

I once read an article on what home improvements actually "add value" and the home owner will recoup some if not all of the cost. It might be useful to start a thread on what shotgun mod's will "add value" and which are "bells & whistles."

Yet, one man's trash is another's treasure. Example: I have a Ducks Unlimited 1187 which has a silver receiver and engraved scenes of Ducks Flying, nice wood etc. However, it came w a plain bolt - which drove me nutz. It cost me $50 to have the bolt jeweled. Worth every penny - to me but perhaps not to the next owner.

To some, if the mod does not improve performance, it is not worth it.

Quick List:

Porting:
Back Boring:
Lenghten Forceing Cones:
Bolt & Ral Polishing:
Trigger Job:
Jeweling parts:
Aftermarket chokes or Adj chokes vs fixed:

Stock Work:
Adj Comb's & soft combs:
Adj butt pad:
Adj butt pad w LOP adj:
Bending Stock:

Barrel Weights:
Mag tube:
Mag Cap:
Attach to barrel:

the rem 32 is more like a k32 and the k80 is nothing like any of them.
the 3200 was the first american gun designed on a computer. it is in a class of its own and cant be compared to a krieghoff. the 3200 is well own as the poor mans k80.

When are you coming back to CT ? The weather is improving, and the summer skeet league is starting soon. I'm ready to drop down to 20 ga and might try the tape on glasses or eye patch this year.

I've tried the tape before but never gone with the "pirate" motif.

What do you guys think about the Winchester SX3? I can get one new for $700 with 28" barrel. Of course, I need to have the wifey hold it.

if its only 700, something wrong with it.
i dont like the new sx series guns myself. they shoot nice, but they just dontfeel like gun. they feel like a refined 2x4.

those are the hottest and most humid months of the year.

I'm going to recon a place I found courtesy of your bud's website with all the places to shoot trap/skeet/sporting clays. It's in Guilford CT and they allow the public to shoot on Sunday's from 9am till noon.
