I recently shot a Citori Skeet XS - stock and was amazed at its recoil reduction. I didn't shoot any better but I didn't know where it was hitting either.

It was a heavy gun so I'm not sure how much weight could be added. I look fwd to shooting it some more. (most of the O/U had 20 ga tubes in) Not sure if it's weight, stock design, longer forcing cones - but it was significantly better than the last Citori I fired. (May have been field gun)

Browning is getting better, wonder how the new Baretta's are coming along ?

Hi All

I'm new to the site. I'm an avid clay shooter. I currently shoot at a range that only has trap facilities,(bummer),. I have a compact Benelli M2 and a Browning Citori Micro Midas. Both are chambered in 20 gauge. I am however thinking of picking up a new 12 gauge over and under. I want it because I'm seriously considering trying my hand at some upland hunting. Anyway, just wanted to say hi!

I've traded my Browning Citori Lightning 12 ga with 26-inch barrels and my Beretta 682 Gold (an older one made in 1998 that was pretty worn) for a new Fabarm Axis RS 12 Sporting. She has 30-inch barrels and right-hand palm swell. Broke 25 of 25 my first round shooting it, but alas, I can't seem to put these rounds back-to-back no matter what I shoot...but, that being said, this is a nice shotgun and I'm the only one at my club with one. It's kind of the max on what I can afford at this point in my life. A Guerini sponsored pro shooter and gunsmith made sure it fit me, which is nice, and it was the first time I'd ever done that. I'd like to have a Guerini Summit Impact and ultimately a K-80 but those are significant jumps in cost over this gun and honestly, unless I win a lottery, this will have to do. So far so good, I'm enjoying it.

Here's the Guerini Summit Impact and Krieghoff. I really like the higher adjustable ribs that can be set to shoot 50/50. That more 'heads up' position, well, I like it. Some day, oh yes, you will be mine.

stick with whats working and forget the dreaming. stepping up doesnt always pan out.
i know many who have traded away k guns for cheaper ones because they shot them better.
i guess ya got to decide, whats more important? looks and status or trophies?

What he said.
I spent a good bit on a fully decked out Browning 725 and it took about a year before I got good with it.
Oddly enough though, I can still shoot as good or better with my 870.

It's not a status thing for me (I don't have enough money for that) but rather just finding what I like and something that provides me the greatest chance of breaking birds. I like the adjustable higher rib. I like adjustable combs. I like a nice fit and finish. I like 30-inch barrels. I like smooth opening guns. I like extractors rather than ejectors. I don't like ported shotguns. I don't need to pay a zillion dollars for fancy hand engraving.

I've shot various things, Browning, Beretta, SKB, Fabarm, Remington, Kolar, Guerini, Stoeger, and Benelli. That stupid K-80 was really nice. I've never shot a round with a Perazzi or Blaser. Beretta makes a nice shotgun and I enjoyed the Benelli semi-auto. That Benelli action sure is slick. I hated the Stoeger. I realize the K-80 is a rich guy's gun but from a purely objective standpoint, I like it.
