I have one I just don't take it to school with me.

It's just a long trip for a shoot during the semester, and all.

Many years ago, when I wanted to shoot Skeet,
I bought an 1100 12ga. Magnum action and a Skeet barrel.

Many, many years ago a Remington 1100 turned the local joke into the league high average shooter.

Im in the summer skeet league. The top shooter uses a Baretta 391 Tekneys that has been ported and has some type of weighted mag cap. I also see a lot of Baretta 682 and Browning Citoris.

The O/U folks usually have tube sets and are really shooting 20 or 28 ga from their 12 ga guns. They get an extra bird added to handicap for each guage down from 12.

We had an 1100 break last time we shot. I believe one of the tines in the fork broke. I never liked the design personally and I've never been a fan of the three piece piston w rubber seal. Remington should have updated it. Browning & Baretta both engage recoil spring more efficiently - one piece unit vs two prong.

However, the 1100 is the standard by which all gas autos are judged and has been around for a very long time.

there is a cult following for the winchester super xm1. only 90,000 made from 74 to 81, but most can last 1 million rounds with minimal trouble.

mine has 875,000 in it and i changed a bolt lock and rubber seal 100,000 rounds ago.
went to the world shoot with it and our team placed 1st in doubles 3 years in a row. sxm1...great semi auto.

A Winchester Super X one will work fine, after you replace the defective buffer they came with.
