Default Skeet Shooting?

Do you have to use a shotgun for skeet shooting? I'm not that familiar with it. Would this count?

I always wondered if the A-A sights on my Arisaka would give the proper lead to take it skeet shooting....

Yes. you can use a tank- but you use a cannister round and not HEAT.
