Ammo is a bit pricey but it's a fun gauge.

If it goes bang, I'm always good with it.

The .410 is good for rabbit, squirrel, small fowl, and so on. It is also particularly nice for snake shot. I keep hearing that the .410 is the taxidermist's choice since it can leave little damage with the right shot, but with that in mind I wouldn't plan on using it for large anything.

Just my two cents. I have an old bolt action .410 that is just great as a plinker. To me, you can never have enough toys. If it's cheap enough, grab it.

They want $99 for it figured id try and get them to 75 just for an extra gun to shoot. But I'm in the market for a 12ga pump also. Is 410 any cheaper as far as ammo?

That's a good price for one as long as it is in good shape..... and the ammo is 2-3 dollars more a box than a 12 gauge

Btw can they really shoot 45lc safely? I know its a smooth bore but it opens options for target shooting.

Really can't go wrong with one. I have a Stevens break-action .410. It's mostly used for shooting varmits in the yard and exploding coke cans and such.....

Save your money and buy a 12 ga. pump, they aren't sexy, just practical and awesome.
