Default A simple purchase, but a great one (for me)...

I was out looking at shotguns today. After looking at all of the neatest/geatest pumps and autoloaders, I decided to remember the simpler times (childhod memories), and go with something that will always work in the field when I need it to. So I got me a right purty little Rossi 12 Gauge.

Plus the price is right (110.00 dollars).

Good for you.

My first shotgun was a Sears & Roebucks single shot 12 gauge. It took a lot of birds back in the day.

Congrads! Just looking at the photos, excellent condition!
I am heading out Saturday morning to local gun shop that sells guns on assignment.

I've been wanting a coach gun with exposed hammers. I don't need one, but it's an on my list kind of thing.

Thanks for the comments.

I hope to get out to the range today to put a few rounds through it. I'm curious to see how this basic shotgun will pattern with #6 shot.

Sometimes fancy and high tech is just overkill, cool, but overkill.
Catch phrases "plain and simple" and "tried and true" are there for a reason.
My very first firearm was a N E F Pardner 20 gauge single shot and it sits in my cabinet to this day.
