Any firearm used for defense of any kind should really have a light on it IMHO
I like that firearm. And I like that flooring.

Okay, guys. I just deleted 18 posts of arguing in this thread. What works for one may not work for another. We all have our preferences an needs in home defense and THAT'S OKAY! If the arguing continues, this thread is closed.

Wow. Extremely disrespectful.
The only "proof" I have is that I had my wife record the story that was shown on the news at the time. This was in 2008 and I still have the video.
I immediately called the police. They came (and drew guns on me which pissed me off), took my glock from me, then took me down to the police station and proceeded to question me. I answered a bunch of question but after about 2 hours I told them I didn't feel comfortable saying anymore until my lawyer was with me (not that I actually HAD a lawyer, but my uncle is a lawyer).
No charges were charged against me.
I later was acknowledged by the county Sherriff for my bravery at the California state fair in Sacramento.

that's exactly the point i was trying to make. what works for one person may not be the best choice for another. a person needs to decide what their personal needs are in relation to their firearms and make the appropriate choices.

Remington 870. Knox spec ops stock, UTG rail system (solid for price), TRUGLO red dot, Wilson combat mag extension (not pictured) with new Wilson combat magazine follower. Magpul front clamp/sling swivel ordered yesterday. I also have an ELZETTA magazine tube clamp/flashlight holder with a streamlight poly tac.

And the mini 14. Sometimes I keep the 12 gauge out. I don't have kids or neighbors to worry about.

Shag, I love the sure fire. Got it used and sent it back to SF for new rubber pads. They returned it as new for.......zero charge. Their cust service is great.
Having said that, it is a bit heavy but the trade off of a slick bright light is worth it to me. There are lighter options (tlr1 on a pic rail etc) but ive never seen one that was as seamless to use.

Winds..... Thanks! Under the side saddle is the oshp patch engraved into the receiver. not functional but kinda cool.
That flooring is actually my kitchen table. Looks awesome but SUCKS to clean when my little jihadists spill milk. Ha!
