And bought this.......

870 Police Magnum. Don't see too many of these. I am a sucker for wood furniture. The factory Remington +2 extension arrives tomorrow, and then the gun will be 'done'

K.I.S.S. is the idea on this one. Basic, beautiuful, and stupid reliable.

for HD/SD, i have to agree. for most people simple works much better. i would have much more confidence in a shotgun that is reliable vs. one that has a bunch of accessories on it.

Plus God forbid if you have to use it you look a lot better in court having used a gun that looks looks like the shotgun ever bodies dad USED to have.

not aware of that having happened yet, but there is always that possibility of one overzealous anti-gun liberal prosecutor that wants to try and make an example out of someone using one in self defence.

That's the day my wife's parents were married, I only remember the date because its also the day we gave them their first grandson. Cool info to have. Shoot just knowing your gun is 40 and still kicking tells all about reliability. Cool.

Finished it as seen in my other thread:

Last thing I'm considering adding is a shell carrier, but I'm not sold on that really...

I can appreciate the Eagle shell carrier on my '97 Win riot, even if it only carries an extra cigar and matches in the pouch. A few extra shells close at hand doesn't hurt either. Less is more and too much can make a shotgun, or rifle look like a Swiss army knife.
