Mossberg 500? I just emailed Mossberg & asked how old mine was. It took a couple days but someone got back to me & I found out mine was exactly 25 years old the day I got it

That's pretty cool. I just emailed them, we'll see what they say

I have my custom weapons set up to the operator. I use them for home and while at work. Nowadays, if I can buy an advanced weapon system then there is a high probability that an advanced weapon system can also be used against me.

Most of us on these firearm forums know our weapons and whats available to enhance them. There are plenty of folks NOT on these forums that know that as well. When clearing someone ELSE's house, oh yea... prayers get put out that if someone's armed... its a basic system. The hopes are high that there are no 00 buck shots, no slugs, no foldable stocks, no Eotechs, no laser sights, no flashlight attachments other than those we have. The years of having a basic shotgun has been over for me. I'm even limited to the brands that can be bought.

No offense but the BGs aren't concerned about the folding stock, eotech sights or lights,, its the business end that matters, shotshell out of a stock "basic system" will sting just as bad as if it came from a dressed out system. Dead is dead bells or whistles its still the same end game....

+1. BG is either scared of a gun or not scared of a gun. He'll run or fight and when it's pointed at him just about all he'll see is the barrel. Not what's behind it.

What did somebody forget to engage their safety and shoot the dogs front teeth out? Or are we blaming that on the Glock shooters?

True but anything that might give a tactical advantage over the BG can only help.

Good TACTICS give you a tactical advantage. Tactics are learned in training and through experience, not bought off of amazon.com.
