shotgun shell question?

My data says a Remington Model 1100 .410 2-1/2" version has two (2) 0.060" gas ports in the barrel, and a 3" version has one (1) 0.067" gas port in the barrel. I've never checked the .410 data, because I have never owned one, but the data for the 12, 20 and 28 has been dead right. Never seen any gas ports in an 1100 piston !
What could have happened... did.
