Shotgun Search
I would like to purchase a shotgun, just unsure about what I would like.
I am thinking 8 Gauge. What are your thoughts? Good home defense choice.

Even if you can't find ammo, it should make an excellent club.

I don't think a 8 gauge will pack enough punch.
This will suffix though....

Bro- you need to go do some studying. The 8 g has not been made in the US in a LONG time. It is not legal for hunting anywhere in the US. The ammo is a collectors item, and is a black powder load.
But the cloud of powder smoke would probably choke an intruder to death, so it might work.

What are the rules of buying abroad? I suppose I will have to make my own shells. I can get shells here: 8 Gauge Shotshell

Wasn't going to hunt with it, It was going to be for Barn defense.

Would suggest you use the Soviet .61 Cal, belt fed heavy MG.
As long as yer shopping abroad. Barn rats can be tough.
But I DO have this brass 3 pounder. With a double cannister load, it might work.

I figure all I need is:
 For Barrel
To build Stock and fore grip.
 Hold Barrel to stock
 Firing pin
A few other things from a Home Improvement store and I am ready to defend the Barn.

Looks good to me, Shi. Please make a U tube video of your first 3 rounds. ps. Before firing set down a beer, wink at the camera and say, "Watch this".
