And old shotgun was given to me recently but the wooden handle of the pump is not attached to the metal (see the pics below).
This there an easy way to fix this?
This shotgun is probably 35 years old.
It may be hard to see but the wood slides away from the metal in the next picture. It seems there is a threaded ring that is missing intended to bind the two together.

It looks like you are missing what on the Remington 870 is called the fore-end tube nut. Check here and see if these folks have the part for your make and model # of shotgun...Welcome to Numrich Gun Parts Corp.
TxG has it right-all you need is the forend tube nut. It costs about 10$+ shipping from Numrich Gun Parts Corp, e-Commerce Super Site . This is assuming it's a Remington which is what it looks like. More pics and information would come in handy. Look on the shotgun for brand & model number. I'm also assuming it's a 12 ga from the looks. J.C. Higgins Model 20-16GA
SEARS, ROEBUCK AND CO. 583.2050
It doesn't seem Numrich has that model listed under Sears or J.C. Higgins but I'm wondering if a part from a similar model would work.
Thanks for the help!
