Default Old Winchester pump shotgun

I had seen a sporting version of this model before that was a take down that came with with leather case, the funny appendage ahead the action looks like a take down feature winchester was fond of useing back in the day, Your's looks like a 12 gage 2.3/4" plain barrel sporter mabe full choke? if a dime wont slip in the muzzle its a most likely full choked version.

many were used by law enforcement and prisons as riot guns. Is there any stamping indicating this? Did you find these while clearing out a elderly family members garage? It is a fortunate find.

Default Model 96

Can't tell by your photo's the length of the barrel. Many of these that were used by police departments and prisons were stamped with the name of where it was issued. My Dad always kept one hanging over the backroom door in his store. It had been issued to Joliet prison. The 1911 is a nice find too. Looks a little rough with the pitting on the slide, but still nice.

The serial number is stamped on the bottom of the receiver ahead of where you insert the shells.
