+1 on the 11-87. Excellent evolution of a great shotgun (1100).

Hey Cheryld,
I was wondering how you had come out in your search?

The 1100 and 11-87 are both great guns. Recoil isn't as felt and the smooth lines would make it swing nicely for you. They do require a little more routine cleaning maintenance over the 870 Wingmaster jr and the sticker prices are somewhat higher as well, but they are both good choices.

Keep us posted

Hi Mike and everyone,

I am seriously looking at the Remington 11-87 20 guage compact Sportsman. It is a youth model as I am sure you know. Going to my not so local gun shop to try one out and hopefully get to fire one before I buy it, although this might not happen. I might just have to make sure the gun is fitted properly and buy without trying. Any opinions on this shotgun? Remembering that I am in a wheelchair, are there any reasons not to buy it? Thanks for the feedback and Mike, thanks for remembering me. Cheryl

Just wondering, where can I buy the 11-87 in the pink camo that remington offers. Gander Mountain has them, but as an in-store purchase only. That let's me out. Thanks again! Cheryl

Default Pink 11/87

You have several options. have Gander send the gun to your long away local dealer, or I maybe able to find one and send it to your local dealer(far away dealer), and or your local(far away dealer could order you one from another source? Then all you have to do is go to your local(far away dealer and pick it up! It is just that simple. Again, I will try to help you all I can? You have my e-mail mikem@tls.net and phone number if you need assistance? Good luck>>>>>
