Opinions on the ammo? Or the slug in a short barrel?
Thanks in advance.
I use 00 buch for HD but I shoot slugs out of my rem 870 18.5 barrel with no problems. It might not be 100% accurate at long distances. Personaly I wouldnt use slugs for HD because im worried it will go through walls or the perp and endanger others in my house or even my neighbors. Plus believe it or not you do have to aim with a shotgun and slugs make it that much harder when you add in the factors of a HD situation. Your woken up by a thump or a glass break at 2am so you alittle groggy, your adrenaline will be pumping so bad that you will be a little jittery or clumsy and you might have to deal with other members of your family in the house so you just want to point and shoot and not take the chance of missing with a slug. Hope this helps. Good luck!
