Shooting Century Arms' 1887 shotgun
Here is the full-length video on the Chinese clone of the Winchester 1887 lever action shotgun that is imported by Century International Arms. This video was really a hoot to make. There's not much that's more fun than busting stuff up with black power shotshells

A picture for those who don't watch videos

I durned near bought an original Winchester 10ga one at the OGCA gun show today but didn't have $2200 with me. Just about mint, too.
How much are those copies? Looks like a neat toy. Do they come in 10ga also?

Nope. Only in 12 ga.

I don't have the MSRP yet on my test gun, but I think they are around $300

May have to try one, they are so ugly, they are cute. :D

Have handled one of these and I can tell you what he says in the video is 100% true. It's a PITA to load (you WILL cut your fingers up - did you notice the gloves?) and you feel like you're breaking the gun in half to try to cycle that lever. I expected the copy to be "old-style" with all of the rough edges smoothed out by modern manufacturing and new metallurgy - no such luck. These guns are as rough as 1887 was, and other an being 12 gauge, there is NO updating at all, good or bad.

They get an A- for authenticity (the "-" for change to 12 ga) but the rest of the gun is C grade at best. If you are considering buying one for CASS or you just like older guns, try it at your LGS or gun show before shelling out the cash. ;)

(Anyone catch that pun? "Shelling" out cash - shotgun shell...I crack me up!)
