For bird hunting, you can't beat the 1100. My pheasant hunting partner swore by his Mossberg 500's, but after a couple of years of seeing the long shots and snap shooting I was pulling off, he picked up an 1100 and never looked back. Now, if I could just find one in 16 ga.........
