hi im trying to figure out if using old english scratch remover on the stock of a beat up browning a5 will devaluate it. any input would be appreciated

If it is beat up then no as long as you don't mess with the bluing on the gun you are fine....if it is that beat up you could also consider sanding it down and refinishing the stock
