Not sure what you mean about the "bolt closing" issue. Inserting a loaded mag with the bolt closed is difficult but not impossible. Perhaps a better explanation would be to call it tricky.

Have not used the breacher in its designed role but it does act as a flash hider and overall intimidating addition.

Many report problems with being able to insert a full 10 rounder with the bolt closed.

Google "Saiga dealers in xxxxx," xxxxx being your ZIP code. Any decent gun store should be bale to order one for you though.

My friend just bought one of these and we took it to the range two weeks ago. After getting some lube into it, the feeding and cycling went perfect. Was sticky just for the first few rounds before we noticed how dry it was. Clip kinda goes in funny and have to work it to lock in. Kicks like hell. Reliable...very much so. Seems to be a great home defense weapon. They were going for $600 or more here in Saint Louis. Didnt see ANY even close to $500. One guy had a used one for $700. Obama effect.

im about to buy one of these as my semi shotgun.

its mainly the pistol grip and instant fullmag reloading.

These are cheap as chips here thanks to our open trading with china and the russians.

I mean, its designed fromt he ground up to be used in desert combat, so i'm not expecting anything i can (legally) throw at them to muck it up.

we have a saying here in NZ "If it isn't broken, shoot it again"

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't Izmash and RAA the same Saiga's?
Izmash being the factory where their built and RRA being the company that imports them.

Now there are red 16 ga rounds that can easily be confused with 12 ga. Especially as my arms seem to be getting shorter in my old age and focusing on headstamps is difficult w/o reading glasses.

Yeah, they are all built in one place, though they can potentially be imported by many companies. RAA is the only current importer to the USA that I'm aware of.
