Default Replacement Barrel for Remington 870.

Can anyone tell me if a Express 18", fixed cylinder choke, barrel will fit a SPST model 870? To the best of my knowledge, the SPST stands for "Special Purpose Shotgun Turkey". This is a turkey gun with a 21" barrel, extra-full choke, matte finish, synthetic stock and sling. I bought it back in 1991. I was wanting to make it a HD shotgun and change the barrel, add a side saddle shell carrier and magazine extension. I will probably need to change the forearm also to aid in clearance for the shell holder. And would this express matte finish be the same as mine?

Thanks for your help.

Here's a picture of mine.

Nice gun.
Yah it should fit. As long as the barrel connector [to the magazine] is in the same place, it will.
