Remington 870 Reaches 10 Million Mark
Remington 870 Reaches 10 Million Mark

The Remington 870, an iconic shotgun for six decades, has reached the 10 million mark milestone in its production. Read what American Hunter editors say about their years of experience shooting the best-selling hunting shotgun of all time, and watch as Executive Field Editor Frank Miniter tests Hevi-Shot loads in the Super Magnum Max Gobbler version of the gun.

I hate to say it cane but I've never actually fired an 870. Shouldered a number of them but never actually pulled the trigger. 10,000,000 is quite a milestone though.

there's mine.

it's newer but it has the same rem 870 design that's been around forever.

i've fired over a thousand rounds through this guy and it shoots and feeds well every single time.

I own a 16 gauge Wingmaster and a 12 gauge Express home defense model and I love both of them. As long as I feed it shells, it's keeps firing. Remington defiantly got it right with this one!

870 Express
All I ever carry in the field. Like most of the firearms I own and actually use, this is a cheap, reliable, acurate weapon.

The first gun I bought for myself after turning 18 was an 870Police Magnum. 18", blued.

I still have it, though it is now (sadly) parkerized.

It has what I could only guesstimate at close to 40,000 rds through it with never an issue (except with Aguila short shells and Brenneke 2 1/2" Euro shells). 15,000 of those rounds were fired in the first 18 months I owned it.

Probably should get another one myself. My middle daughter "adopted" my Wingmaster 2 Christmas's ago...

Great Topic!! cane, very informative...
I own two Rem 870's, had them since the eighties.
One is used continuously especially in this season...
I can't even estimate how many shots have been fired through it.
The other has been transformed from a standard 870 w/ 28" barrel
to a short barrel 870 Police for home protection.

Going to a gun fight? Take a shotgun.
If you can't take a shotgun, don't go.

I just bought an Express with two barrels, I'm dying to try it out but the bloody paperwork won't be done until next Tuesday. :(
