Black paint ought to work, but why not see if someone will swap you. I don't think there are any issues shipping plain stocks. Over here camo stocks cost about $100 more.

WOW!!! I thought my topic had died out along time ago,
especially since I posted that I was keeping the shotgun.
I bought the gun back in the eighties (2nd shotgun) and never used
it much. Right now I have another topic about the same shotgun where I'm converting it to a 870 Police model, in the "Your Projects" Forum- check it out.

gunsgunsguns,
Go to ebay and get what you want.
I wouldn't paint over the camo. You could even sell the camo parts on ebay or keep them if you decide to change your mind.

Fire once - love it!
HD - YES
From what I have been told I could swap the barrel out; however, decide to go to Sportsman Warehouse, they had a barrel - 269.00 and on the shelve a complete 28" Remington 870 Express Synthetic for $319.00 12ga for hunting! I also picked a full choke for better for goose!

Range will be Sunday (demand from the wife) - she wants to fire her pistol.

Range report will be provided - nothing fancy.

Bigcountry02,

That's GREAT!!
Yes, barrels are an easy swap on a Rem 870's.
I take it you bought a second Rem 870 for hunting...right?
You might want to try a Turkey Choke for goose hunting.

Was at the range with the wife, no go for Sunday was max out and at least 15 ahead waiting to shoot. This is an outdoor range too! You should have seen the weapons . I was getting hungry just seeing all them!
