I have a 870 with a 28" barrel. Does Remington’s 18 1/2" barrels come threaded for chokes or are they fixed?

Without actually checking into it, short barrels are usually setup for slugs.

In the future I want to put a shorter barrel on. I want it to be able to take chokes.

I really doubt if you will find an 18 1/2" or 20" barrel with screw-in chokes, at least a Remington barrel. I just finished installing screw-in chokes in one of my 20" barrels. Not sure if Remington offers these barrels for sale separately, but the 870 express tactical has a 18.5" barrel threaded for chokes. This is a close up of my barrel with the tactical choke installed.

Go to midway USA they have the barrels. I have a 20 inch barrel with chokes. I know u can get a 18 r 18.5 but not sure if they r choked. I'm looking to get a 26 inch barrel for it to shoot skeets. The barrel I looked at was $270
