Default Remingto sportsman auto 12.

Picked one up for dirt cheap in mint condition . Has a smooth bore slug barrel. Are there replacement barrels ( field ) for them? Do 1100 barrels work like I have been told by some ?

Are you talking the 1980s version or the old humpback recoil operated version? If it's the 19980s version, it is just an 1100 with a hardwood stock. Excellent guns IMHO. Remington's first attempt to lower costs and the metalwork was still great. 1100 parts will fit. If it's the old humpback I, different story. Lots of people love the old recoil operated John Browning design, but I'm not one of them.

Yes it is def not the browning imitation . Lol. I too am not a big Fan of them based on physical appearance though I know they are great guns . This gun is in immaculate condition . I'm very excited to get that field barrel and try her out
