Yes, both the Mossberg and Remington feature blued finishes. The Remington just gets bead blasted before bluing to make it look dull. Both finishes will need occasional oiling to keep them from rusting. Modern coatings aren't too expensive and they hold up well. Also Parkerizing is fairly inexpensive, but the process takes some time and equipment and is pretty messy. If you have a good gunsmith around they usually do Parkerizing in batches. It's a lot like bluing in some regards but has a more pourous texture to really hold oil for protection.
