Default Recommend me a good double barrel side-by-side shotgun

Been thinking I need one more fun for my HD setup. Currently have 2 mags full of hornady critical duty .40 hp to use with my m&p .40. I want a double barrel side by side and load it up and be able to fire 2 shells at the same time if my pistol fails. Any good manufacturers or models I should be on the lookout for? I don't want a pump gun.

None will fire both barrels at once. Ay firearm capable of firing more than once per trigger pull is legally a machine gun.

Chiappa has a triple barreled shotgun!

You can pull both triggers at the same time I'd look for a good used Stevens 311.

I thought so too. Found a Winchester, Stevens, and Springfield so far price ranging from 350-450. Look pretty old.

ive got a CZ hammer coach i use in cowboy shooting. double hammers double triggers double barrels. lots of folks use the stoeger side by sides but they have a decidely cheap quality feel and most dont last long under use. some go a long time.

if you get one with double triggers use the rear trigger first then the front. if you slip and double a 12 ga like your wanting to.... well your only going to want to do it once.

Why! Is it really that bad? I've shot plenty of 6 & 8ga. Shotguns before.

Stoeger has some hammer-less coach guns that are decent and reasonable. I have the 20 gauge double trigger. Barrels are 20" improved and modified. I picked mine up in a trade and like it. At 7 yards mine will shoot 5" & 4" patterns to center of aim point with 20 pellet #3 buck.

i shoot dangerous game rifles in 458winmag and 458 lott. its not so much the total recoil but the two blasts coming so quickly that get you. they dont go off at the exact same time as there is no realistic way to do it. its like a micro fraction of a second difference that staggers the shots and makes it feel really really bad.

you ever do it by accident you wont really want to do it again.
