20 gauge is quite a bit less than 12. never shot buck out of a 20ga but did fire some triple aut buck in a 12ga that kicked something fierce.

i have been thinking about getting a shotgun for a while and have had the same problem deciding between the two. im leaning towards the 20ga mostly because of utility. i have a .45 auto for home defense so it wouldnt be for that.

Default 12 vs 20

the 12 with a 28-30 in bbl is the all around gun what will it be used for most ?hunting ? clay games?weight chokes and barrels from one extreem to the other one shotgun only? need to try for a compromise
