I have no preference when it comes to pump or double, I have and use both. I have a Mossberg 500, 2 Remington 870s, a stevens springfield 5100, and an Armadeo Rossi Overland. All of them get used.
Like a few others on here, I also have a soft spot for old bolt actions. The three I have are a Kessler model 30C, a Mossberg 185d, and 185k. The Mossbergs are my primary hunting shotguns, the Kessler is a secondary/occaisional use shotgun. It was bought due to it's ties to local history, It was made 2 miles from where I live during the 1950s. The company only made shotguns from 1950 to 1953 and then went bankrupt. The shotgun makes one heck of a conversation piece in the feild and at the gun club.
Is it better to do the right thing for the wrong reason, or to do the wrong thing for the right reason? If you do the wrong thing for the right reason, is it still the wrong thing?
Si vis pacem para bellum.
There are two ways of doing something. Right and again.
If you can't be good, be great at it.
