My Dad bought a beautiful Paul Jaeger Custom Winchester Model 12 shotgun last night and I'm now trying to find information on these guns.

I will get some pictures of his shotgun when I can get to his house. This is one of the finest looking shotguns I have ever held. It is fully engraved with gold inlay, adjustable stock and beautiful wood.

If anyone knows of a source for information on Paul Jaeger guns, I would really appreciate any help you could give.

I know it is impossible to guess the value of a gun without seeing it (I'll try to get a picture tomorrow) but, is there such a thing as a gun value book for custom guns?

The full length picture didn't turn out very good. What looks like a long stain on the stock is really the reflection of a overhead light.

Zoom, I have a sporterized A303 30/06 that Paul Jaeger built for my grandfather back in the 1950's. It was my first hunting rifle. I just refinished it earlier this year (it got some moisture damage a few years ago when I let my dad store it along with some others while I was moving/traveling). It took me a great deal of time to trace down any info about where I could find some replacement 1" scope rings for his custom scope mount.
His nephew owns New England Custom Guns,and might be able to help you with any questions you have,as he studied under Paul when he came to the USA from Germany.
That is a great looking shotgun,very nice engraving. My A303 is pretty plain compared to it,but it was built to be used and it has been used alot throughout the years. THB

I can't tell you too much about Paul Jaeger,other than he built sporting rifles from military rifles,in Jenkintown Pa.He also made his own detachable scope mounts. I presently own two of his mounts, one is a standard 1" ring set,and the other is a 7/8" diameter ring set. I also have an 1896 KRAG, that may have been built by him. BTW that is one pretty O/U.

Here is one I own that looks similar, made in 1961 engraving done my Claus and Emil Willig. Couldnt find out who did the stock work.

My father, Paul Nichols did the stock work for Paul Jager in the 60's and 70'. I'm not sure if he was there in 61.
