hi, I cleaned the rust on the barrel of my old shotgun. Now, I would like to paint the barrel. Could you help me about the ideal kind of paint and how to apply it?

Painting the barrel on a gun will lower the value of it and I would recomand that you have it hot blued. If the gun is not worth hot buleing you could cold blue the gun, but cold blueing does not last long. If you still going to paint it any good metal paint should work.
